Celebrate the magic of the season in one of the world’s most glamorous cities. The third annual Beverly Hills Open Later Days — also known as BOLD  — invites residents and tourists to its iconic shop-filled streets for an illuminating art and entertainment experience.

BOLD Holidays 2019 festivities kick off Thursday November 14, 2019 with a lighting celebration from 5 – 8 p.m.  Headlining this year’s extravaganza is Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe award-nominated TV actor and Broadway performer Matthew Morrison.

Morrison will take the stage for a special performance of holiday songs, along with a sneak peek from his upcoming Disney classic covers scheduled to be released next year. The evening will be capped by Beverly Hills Mayor John Mirisch and fellow City Council members, who will light up the palm-dotted length of Rodeo Drive with an abundance of shimmer and sparkle before a glitzy grand finale of fireworks.

The events focus on art and visual culture is presented by the city of Beverly Hills, in partnership with the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, the Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau, and the Rodeo Drive Committee to further engage the city’s commitment to the importance of the arts.

“On behalf of the City of Beverly Hills, considered the world’s most iconic luxury and fashion destination, we are excited to engage with artists and creatives to bring the holidays to life for our visitors from around the globe. This immersive new program of art and entertainment will enhance the magic of the holidays for all our visitors and for the international luxury brands who call Rodeo Drive home,” says Beverly Hills Mayor John Mirisch.

BOLD Holidays will take place every Friday and Saturday from November 15 through December 21, 2019. Free to the public, the spectacle will feature a variety of  entertainment offerings, including carolers, dance and acrobatics as well as A Photomusement Experience by Scenario Studio.

The new interactive photography pop-up event invites guests to experience a variety of unique professional photography sets. Scenario Studio set people standing on the ceilingParticipants style and create their own photo shoots, complemented by full-scale sets designed by renowned photographer John Ganun. On set, guests use smartphones paired with professional LED lighting to replicate quality photo sessions that normally require professional cameras and intricate lighting.

The BOLD Holidays’ festivities will continue across the city with entertainment aboard The Jolley Trolley with Mrs. Claus; brilliant holiday light displays; and visits with Santa at The Paley Center for Media. Guests are invited to scribe their holiday wishes and add them to the One World Wish Tree.

Additional activities include:

  • That Holiday Feeling – November 15, 23 & December 6, 14 | 5 – 8 p.m. – Holiday classics come to Rodeo Drive. Our singers will croon and our dancers will swoon. The evening embodies timeless elegance.
  • Magic of the Holidays – November 16, 29 & December 7, 20 | 5 – 8 p.m. – LED lights will bring modern holiday magic to Rodeo Drive. Dancers, singers, stilt walkers and cyr acrobatics will all features elements of light as they move along Rodeo Drive.
  • Holiday Pop! – November 22, 30 & December 13, 21 | 5 – 8 p.m. – Rodeo Drive will be bustling with hip-hop holiday dancers, elves on stilts, a cyr wheel duet and beatbox/acapella singers.
  • Beverly Hills Art Walk – November 23 & December 6 | 5 – 8 p.m. – Enjoy the holiday season on a guided tour and visit some of the City’s art installations and renowned galleries. 
  • Joy to the Holidays at Greystone Mansion – December 7 & 8 | 12 – 8 p.m. – Join the City of Beverly Hills’ Open House to enjoy a family day of fun with cookie decorating, crafts, a visit with Santa, holiday music and more! And don’t forget to share in the spirit of giving with the City’s Spark of Love toy drive by donating an unwrapped toy. 
  • Holiday Concert at Greystone Mansion – December 8 | 1 – 2:30 p.m.  – This year’s BOLD Holiday Concert will reign in the holiday cheer! Join the City of Beverly Hills to hear the voices of Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD) students performing festive holiday songs.
